Deal/Motherhood: Savings on Baby Deals

There are three web pages I check daily for good deals on items for babies or children. They are much like Zulily, the only difference is that they only have one deal each day. First off there is Baby Steals, of the three web pages, this one is my favorite, however, they also sell out the fastest, so it is best to check it early in the day. The second page is Mama Bargains, this one is a little different then Baby Steals because it also has many items for mom, including maturnity clothes as well. Lastly, there is Green Baby Bargains, obviously by the title, this page has a focus in green, earth-friendly products that the family can use. Check them out!

Deals: Couponing!

I love cutting coupons and finding great deals. I am on a pretty tight budget and so I need to save money any way I can. There are two web pages that I check daily to help me with my coupons.
For deals local to Minnesota, there is no site better then Minnesota Coupon Adventure, it breaks down deals by week (or sometimes day) and store, and addresses local stores such as grocery stores. For national deals, I go to Hip2Save, like Minnesota Coupon Adventure, Hip2Save breaks deals down by store. One thing that is a little frustrating to me is when I see an amazing deal for a store that is not located in Minnesota. Overall, they are both pretty awesome!

I guess I am slow to discover this, but in case you are not familiar with it yet, there is this wonderful webpage called Swagbucks it is a search engine, but it is not like your average search engine because you can earn swagbucks (points) for your searches. You can then redeem these points for prizes. I started using Swagbucks less than one month ago, and I only use it when I would have normally used google and I already have 430 swagbucks. Beyond: Learning to Sew #1

Being a stay at home mom, or at least one for the time being, I find myself bored from time to time. I am horrible with taking naps, so when Kendra sleeps, I am unsure of what I should do. I think it is time for me to take up a hobby. I want to learn how to sew!

I barely know how to sew a button onto fabric, but I thought I would give this sewing thing a try. Kendra is going to go see Yo Gabba Gabba at the Mall of America tomorrow, so I decided to make her a little Yo Gabba Gabba shirt.I figured Muno would be the easiest to make. I found some red, white and black felt. I put a little button as the eye. I was thinking that Muno would be the best since he is pretty simple. I think the shirt turned out pretty well!

Motherhood: Kendra

I thought I better fill you in on my life a little. A brief overview of what my days are like. I am a 19-year-old unwed mother, but it honestly isn't as hard as that sounds. I have a very supporting boyfriend, who is the father of my wonderful daughter Kendra. Kendra is the love of my life, and the focus of my days. She is my world, my everything and now that she has entered this world, I cannot imagine my life without her (I am sure all other mothers out there can relate to this feeling). She is a smiley, energetic 3-month-old that has a love for Mommy, Daddy and Yo Gabba Gabba that is unbelievable. She rolls over during tummy time, she smiles when you say her name and she loves to be the center of attention. Kendra is my motivation to do all that I do in life. I am currently a full-time online college student, I want to get a good education so that she is able to have the things she wants and needs in life. Looking in her eyes when I feel that I cannot accomplish my work is all the motivation I need to find a way to get it done. Kendra is my world, so naturally she will be a part of my blog. I hope you like babies!

Beyond: Blogging

I have decided to attempt this blog thing. Recently I have been exploring more blogs and have discovered I am rather fond of them. I catch myself checking some religiously, it is as if I cannot turn on my computer without going to their blog. It's like a drug, a horrible addiction that I do not want to quit. I decided it might be fun to make a blog of my own, but I ran into this horrible problem, what kind of blog do I want? I love coupon/deal/money saving blogs, but am I really able to make my page relevant enough to compete with the blogs like that which already exist? I could blog about my beautiful 3 month old daughter, but at only 3 months old how much can I really write? It would not be extremely thrilling. I could blog about me and my daily life, but I don't think I have a big enough ego to write about me all day, well at least not yet.

So, for right now, the focus of my blog will be a little bit of this and a little bit of that. My Daughter, Myself, Deals and anything else I happen to come across (the beyond).

The chapters I am currently entering in my life will certain be an adventure and I hope you enjoy reading about it.
